brasslamp's full source goes public at github.com/brasslamp-app/brasslamp the day we launch — under the PolyForm Shield license: read it, run it, write books you sell with it; the software itself isn't for resale.

Reading the code before you trust it is exactly the right instinct — it's the whole reason this will be source-available. Until the repo is public, here's what it will show you, stated now so you can hold us to it later:

the Python standard library, and nothing else — no framework, no vector DB, nothing to pip install
900+ automated checks that run fully offline — no network, no model, no browser
